Atlantic Immigration Pilot

An innovative approach by the Canadian government to address labour shortage in the Canadian Atlantic provinces, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot was launched in 2017. A fast and easy approach to seek immigration in Canada, this program is only applicable for 4 provinces- Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. Atlantic Immigration Pilot helps employers in these provinces to hire foreign nationals in the absence of local talent. Roughly 7000 applicants are expected to avail this opportunity for Canadian immigration in the year 2021. Local employers can identify and hire foreign talent, thereby helping address the challenge of limited population in these provinces as well. As these provinces continue to grow, so do their needs. Hence the pilot program was launched as part of the Atlantic Growth Plan which focuses on-
